this is our first year homeschooling and the school he has been in for the last three years did not do spelling.We have only used the curriculum for three days, but it is going much better than the previous curriculum. My son hated spelling and most days it brought him to tears. After three days with this he seems to have almost done a 180 with spelling. He doesn't get upset when I say it's time for spelling and he is far more engaged with the material than he was before. It does give some general spelling rules, but it looks like one rule per week kind of thing. It is very easy to follow and does not take long to get through each day
It is very easy to teach. The activities have enough consistency to set a routine but enough variety to keep the kids engaged. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because I have not used it long and not sure how it will do for us in the long run.
