we will provide a full refund, excluding shipping costs,
for returns within 60 days of purchase.

What can I return?
Our 60-day money back guarantee for homeschool families applies to orders of $329 or less (subtotal) purchased directly from the homeschool.areasonfor.com website.
If you purchased curriculum for a faith-based school, homeschool co-op, or other organization, please contact us to learn more about our standard returns policy.
To be eligible for the guarantee:
- No more than 8 weeks of consumable materials may be used (including worktexts, Science Kits, etc.)
- All materials must be returned. If a product you wish to return was sold as a prepackaged bundle, set, or Materials Kit, all components must be returned to us to be eligible for refund.
- All items returned must be postmarked no more than 60 days after the date your order was delivered.
- A completed return authorization form must accompany your return package. (Please contact our Customer Service department for the return form.) Returns that arrive to our warehouse and do not include a completed return authorization form will not be eligible for refund.
- The items being returned must have been purchased directly from our website, homeschool.areasonfor.com. Products purchased from one of our partner distributors are subject to the individual distributor's return policy.
What cannot be returned?
Items in our ‘final sale’ category are not eligible for return. Final sale items include:
- Electronic media, digital items, or CDs
- Supplemental materials such as Border Sheets, Desk Cards, Wall Sheets, etc.
- VBS items
- Personalized items (including books with binding removed at the request of the customer) may not be returned for replacement or refund unless the personalization or item is defective.
- Books that have been discounted, offered as promotional, marked "While Supplies Last," or purchased during a special sale.
How do I initiate my return?
If you have a return, contact us here. We will email you a return authorization form that will need to be completed and included in your package.
To avoid damage to the products you return to us, please use adequate packing materials and an appropriately-sized box. We recommend returning your items via FedEx and purchasing insurance on the package, as A Reason For cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage during transit. Returns should be mailed to:
When can I expect to receive a refund?
Once the package arrives at our warehouse, we will review the products and confirm that your return complies with the above policies. Returns are subject to review and will not be approved for refund until all products are received and reviewed by our warehouse team. Any return that does not comply with the above policies may be rejected or may be subject to a restocking fee, at our discretion.
Standard Return Policy
Books in new, salable condition† may be returned within 60-days of purchase, with prior approval. To receive return authorization, please call our Customer Service team.
Once a return has been received and reviewed, your account will be credited minus a 10% restocking fee. Any product returned will be eligible for credit only.
The following items are NOT eligible for return:
- Books that have been discounted, offered as promotional, or purchased during a special sale (excluding “classroom discounts”).
- Shrink-wrapped items that have been unwrapped.
- Items with visible damage, writing, marks, highlighting, or strong odors.
Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. Packages must be shipped prepaid; the cost is the responsibility of the individual making the return. We strongly suggest shipping returns via FedEx and purchasing insurance on the shipment.
Please take the time to pack items carefully and remember the three important steps in successful book shipment: keep it clean, dry and immobilized. Damaged or poorly packed boxes may be refused at time of delivery, as A Reason For cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred in return shipments.
† New salable condition means/includes, but is not limited to:
- NO visible damage, writing, marks, highlighting, and/or odor.
- Products purchased in shrink-wrap (such as Science kits and Spelling CDs) must still be in original wrapping.
If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped item from us, please call or email us so that we can make it right. It is our pleasure and privilege serve you! We will gladly ship replacement product and assist you with your return. Defective or damaged products should be reported within 10 days for replacement.
