Research shows that hands-on learning has a huge impact on a student's comprehension and retention. The inquiry-based model in A Reason For Science® uses age-appropriate weekly experiments to engage young minds as it introduces foundational concepts in Life, Earth and Physical sciences.
A Reason For Science® is available in Levels A-H, roughly corresponding with 1st- 8th grades. However, all levels can easily be adapted to multi-level and co-op learning.
Each level consists of 36 weekly lessons, and provides a full year of instruction.
Lesson structure reflects the Scientific Method, preparing students for advanced science courses in high school and beyond.
Each of the 36 lessons includes a Scripture tie-in that correlates with the scientific concept for the week. This method of integrating faith with learning helps your children apply a biblical worldview to the new information they'll discover in every lesson.
A Reason For Science® Student Worktexts are printed in full color with visually-stimulating illustrations. Pages are perforated for easy removal.
The Teacher Guidebook includes an outline with scripted instruction at each stage of the lesson, prompts to facilitate discussion, suggestions for extended learning to dig deeper on subjects your kids find particularly engaging, reproducible masters for weekly quizzes to evaluate their grasp and retention of the subject matter, and more. The guidebook is designed to make every parent feel confident in teaching science—and make your children think you're an expert, too!
The convenient Materials Kit for each level contains essential supplies to perform all 36 weeks of experiments (some readily-available household and/or perishable items are not included) in a compact, durable storage case.
the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;
or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you;
and the fish of the sea will declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every living thing
and the breath of all mankind.
