Level K teaches basic manuscript letter formation, in short lessons that can be adapted to suit the attention span, hand strength, and manual dexterity of each young writer. Proper technique minimizes fatigue and paves the way for handwriting proficiency in later years.
Levels A-F, roughly corresponding to 1st-6th grades, provide daily practice in manuscript (Levels A, B & T) or cursive (Levels T, C, D, E & F). These levels feature a weekly Scripture verse—over the course of 6 years, your child will practice writing nearly 200 different ones!—and because research shows that writing information by hand greatly increases retention, this daily handwriting practice also serves as an excellent Scripture memorization tool.
